BEND OREGON NEIGHBORHOODS

Northwest Bend Real Estate

The Northwest side is one of Bend’s most popular areas to buy real estate because of its proximity to downtown, the Old Mill District and the Cascade Lakes Highway leading to Mt. Bachelor and beyond. If you’re the kind of active adult that loves to walk everywhere, check-out Bend’s close-in neighborhoods like Riverwest and Old Town. Homes and lot sizes are smaller, harkening back to Bend’s mill era when most of the workers built tiny homes close to Brooks-Scanlan and Shelving-Hixon Mills. Just outside of these districts, new neighborhoods like Northwest Crossing have emerged, embracing the modern ethos of new urbanism, with schools, restaurants and even a barber shop just a few minutes walk from your front door. Lot size and square footage grows as you make your way up Awbrey Butte or out to Shevlin Commons where incredible views and elegant homes are the norm.

Northeast Bend Real Estate

Northeast Bend features stunning mountain views in every direction. Enjoy sunsets over the Three Sisters as you take evening walks to a plethora of well-manicured parks or up Pilot Butte. Juniper Swim & Fitness is one of the prime amenities of this section of town, with hundreds of classes a week, a myriad of pools and workout facilities and beautiful grounds. St. Charles Medical Center, one of the best healthcare facilities in Oregon, is a short drive from most eastside neighborhoods. There are also a number of brand-new schools in this area, and many can be reached on paved footpaths and sidewalks from neighboring developments. For those that prefer to be close to downtown, check out Bend’s up-and-coming Midtown neighborhoods, with mid-century architecture, huge backyards, and coffeeshops and restaurants cropping up just around the corner. For those looking for more amenities, Lava Ridges and Miranda both feature community pools and their own parks.

Southwest Bend Real Estate

Southwest Bend features the iconic golf communities of Tetherow and the Highlands at Broken Top, as well as great family neighborhoods off SW Brookswood like River Canyon Estates, Rim River and Aspen Ridge. Many homes are at a higher elevation providing great views and lots of pine trees. Some neighborhoods line the canyon with access to world-class trails just a few blocks away.

Southeast Bend Real Estate

If you are looking for a newer or brand-new home, Southeast Bend might be the neighborhood for you! There is lots of new construction and land to stretch out. Popular neighborhoods include Bend Golf and Country Club, Mountain High, Ridgewater, Bridges at Shadow Glen, Stonegate and Sun Meadow, which has a community pool.
